magnet (esoteric) : A nonmaterial, nonphysical bond created by means of mental/astral/pranic energy or excercise, operating on the "intuitive" level, for the purpose of attachment, or as a substitute "road map" to other realms, objects, or people.
mana (Polynesian): the power of the elemental forces of nature embodied in an object or person. Pervasive supernatural or magical power. (not to be confused with "manna").
manna : (in the Bible) the substance miraculously supplied as food to the Israelites in the wilderness (Exod. 16).
manas : (from man = to think or believe, mind, intelligence, understanding). H.P Blavatsky (occultist, esoteric Buddhism), in her 1880 summary describes manas as the HUMAN soul. By the period of 1888, manas included both the higher and lower human soul - mind - with the higher mind being identified with the Reincarnating Ego.
manasaputras (Sanskrit) : reference to the mind-born sons of Brahma. they are superior beings whom have endowed men with minds, and hence, through freedom of choice, with a knowledge of good and evil.
manas-kama : human embodied consciousness. With kama as the "desire principle", manas-kama is "desire to ensoul" the reincarnating ego and mind.
manu (Sanskrit): The MAN par excellence, Father of the Human Race. The term in occultism is generic and is applied to 'creators and fashioners' of each racial type; Manu is not really an individuality, it is the whole of mankind (Manu is not a man but collective humanity).
manvantara : A life cycle. The universe passing through its cosmic days is called a Manvantara, The universe passing through its cosmic nights is called a Pralaya. In Gnosticism, it is said that one great cosmic day equals 311,040,000,000,000 human years.
maya (Sanskrit) : "Illusion". (Spectrum of Consciousness) Godhead's creative power of "emptying or reflecting" itself into all things thus creating all things. (Self Aware Universe) The separateness of "I" and the world.
modal potential (Heaventology) : continuous improvement of the esthetic structure (as opposed to substance) of an entity's characteristic.
monad : Monads are the ultimate elements of the universe, spiritual-substantial entities, self-motivated, self-impelled, self-conscious, in infinitely varying degrees. They engender other monads, which in turn engender others, and thus springs up the host of living entities forming the immense variety and unity of the manifested world.
monas : the integral sparks from the Parent flame or monad.
