Words Of Wisdom
by Kundie (circa.: 1965)
What is forgiveness?
The paying up of a debt. A man who wrongs another man can never be forgiven until he rights the wrong. Purify your hearts by love and righteousness and you shall be forgiven.
There are no happenings that are not governed by law.
God and man are one. But that through carnal thoughts and words and deeds, man tore himself away from God;
The Holy Breath will make one again. It restores harmony and peace. Nothing can make us one, but Love (...that God so loved the world that He has clothed His Son in flesh that man can comprehend...)
The only savior of the world is Love and Jesus came to manifest that love.
No man lives unto himself, for every living thing is bound by cords to every other living thing.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will love and not demand love in return.
They will not do to other men what they would not have other men do unto them.
There are two selfs, the Higher Self and the lower self. The higher self is human spirit clothed with soul, and made in the form of God.
The lower self is the carnal self; the body of desires. It is a reflection of the higher self, distorted by the murky ethers of the flesh.
The lower self is an illusion and will pass away. The higher self is God in man and will never pass away.
The higher self is Justice, Mercy, Love and Right. It is the embodiment of truth. If man would find his savior, he must look within.
The lower self is what the higher self is not. The lower self breeds hatred, slander, murders, theft, and everything that harms. The lower self offers pleasures, joy, and satisfying gains, but gives unrest and misery and death.
The hardest thing to know is self. He who knows his lower self knows the illusions of the world; knows of things that pass away.
He who knows his higher self, knows God.
The only Devil from which men must be redeemed is self; the lower self. If man would find his devil, he must look within. His name is self.
If man would find his savior, he must look within. And when the demon self has been dethroned, the savior, Love, will be exalted to the throne of power.
Each has a time and a season for its own. The Sun; the Moon, have lessons of their own for men, but each one teaches at the appointed time.
Today, one walks in gloom; downhearted; and oppressed. Tomorrow, that same one is filled with Joy. Today, the Heavens seem full of blessedness and hope. Tomorrow, hope has fled and every plan and purpose comes to naught. Today, one wants to curse the very ground which he treads. Tomorrow, he is full of love and praise. Today, one hates, and scorns, and envies, and is jealous. Tomorrow, he rises above his carnal self and feels a gladness and good will.
A thousand times men have wondered, "why these heights and depths". These light hearts and these sadnesses are found in every life. There are teachers everywhere; each busy with a God appointed task, and driving home to human hearts the Truth. This Truth that everyone receives has a lesson he needs.
Before the worlds were formed, all things were One, just Spirit; the Universal Breath.
And Spirit breathed, and that which was not manifest became the Fire and Thought of Heaven; the Father-God; the Mother-God. And when the Fire and Thought of Heaven, in union breathed, their son; their only son was born. This son is Love, whom men have called, "The Christ".
Men call the "Thought of Heaven" the Holy Breath. And when the triune God breathed forth, seven spirits stood before the throne. these are the Creative Spirits of the Universe. And these are they, who said, "Let's make man." And in their image, man was made.
Hate is a cruel word. Pain will follow him who speaks or acts with evil thoughts.
He is a greater man who conquers self, then who kills a thousand men in war.
Return to him, who does you wrong, your purest love, and he will cease from doing wrong. For Love will purify the heart of him who is beloved as truly as it purifies the heart of him who loves.
Behold the Sun. It manifests the power of God who speaks to us through the sun and the moon and the stars; through mountains and hill and valleys; through flower and plant. God sings for us through bird, harpsichord and human voice. he speaks to us through wind and rain and thunder.
Death is not an enemy of man. It is a friend who, when the work of life is done, just cuts the cord that binds the human body to the earth, so that it may go on to other horizons. The calls of death are always for the best, for we are solving problems there as well as here, and one is sure to find himself where he can solve his problem best.
Love is the cord that runs through all the Ten Commands of God. Love belongs to every word. If one is full of love, he can do nothing else than worship God, for God is Love.
If one is full of Love, he cannot kill. He cannot falsely testify. He cannot do anything, but honor God and man. If one is full of Love, he doesn't need commands of any kind.
Truth is the only thing that doesn't change. The Holy Breath is Truth. It is that which was, and is, and ever will be. It cannot change or pass away.
Man is the truth and the falsehood combined. man is the breath made flesh.
The laws of nature are the laws of health and he who lives accordingly to these laws is never sick. With the will of man - he can will himself sick as well as will himself well - man can heal himself. A Thousand things produce inharmony and make men sick; a thousand things can bring the body in tune and make him well.
Live as you would have your brother live. Unfold each day as does the flower. The earth is yours and the Heaven is yours, and God will bring you your own.
God's meeting place with man is in the heart, and in the still, small voice, He speaks. He who hears is still. God lives not in the noise of tongues, nor in idol shrines.
God speaks to hearts apart; and hearts apart must speak to Him, and this is Prayer. Not a prayer to "shout" at God, and tell Him about the sins of men; nor to tell the Holy One how great He is, how good, or how strong He is. God is not man to be brought up by praise of man.
Prayer is the sincerest wish that every way of life be light; that every act is good, and that every living thing will be propered by the ministry.
A noble deed; a helpful word is a prayer. The depths of a prayer is in the heart, and by thought, not words, the heart is carried up to God where it is blest.
Everything comes and goes in proper time. The sun has his own time to set; the moon to rise; The stars come and go; rains to fall, and winds to blow; the seeds to harvest; man to be born, and man to die.
Time for nations to be born. Events are many in a nation's life and the life of man, that are not pleasant for a time. But in the end, the truth appears. Whatever comes is for the best.
Man was created for a noble part. Man was created with a will, and so, he has the power to choose. He may attain the greatest heights or sink to the greatest depths. What man wills to gain, he has the power to gain.
If man desires strength, he has the power to gain that strength, but he must overcome resistances to reach that goal. No strength is ever gained in idleness.
So, in the whirl of many sided conflicts, man is placed where he must strive to improve himself. In every conflict, man gains strength. With every conquest, he attains to greater heights. With every day, he finds new duties and new cares. Man is not carried over the dangerous pits or helped to overcome his foes. He, himself, must have the strength and will to overcome this. The Holy One just lights his way. Man was never left without a beacon of light to guide him.
All souls are just as precious in the sight of God. And each are working out the same life answers as everyone else is, regardless on what you pride yourself as, or your respectability and moral worth. And some have to solve a much harder life answer then you have to work out, so we can't look upon them with scorn.
The sin lies in the wish; in the desire and not in the act.
The Universal God is One, yet He is more than One. All things are God; all things are One. By the sweet breaths of God, all life is bound in One. Men and birds and beasts and creeping things are deities made flesh.
God is everywhere. He cannot be confined within walls. All people worship God; The One. But all people don't see Him alike.
The Universal God is Wisdom, Will and Love. When man sees God as one with him; as Father God, he needs no middle man -- no priest to intercede.
Man is the marvel of the universe. He is a part of everything because all forms of life on the earth plane are thoughts of God. All creatures think, and every creature is possessed of will, and in its measure, has the power to choose.
Heaven is a state of mind. It is not a place. God never made a Hell. he never made a Heaven for man; we are the creators and we make our own. We can't find a Heaven in the sky, but by opening windows of your heart, a Heaven will be found.
All created things have colours, tones and forms, their own. But certain tones, though good and pure themselves, when mixed, produce inharmonies; discordant tones. And certain things, though good and pure, when mixed, produce discordant things; poisonous things that man calls evil. So; evil is the inharmonious blending of the colours, tones or forms of good.
Man, not being all wise, yet having a will of his own, has the power, and uses it to mix God's good things in multitudes of ways, and every day, he makes discord sounds and evil things.
Every tone and form, being of good or ill, becomes a living thing; a demon; or spirit of a good or vicious kind.
This is the way man makes his own devil, then he becomes afraid of him. The devil and the burning fires are both the works of man, and none can put the fires out and dissipate the evil one, but the man who made them both.
Man carries with him, the secret place where they can meet their God. It matters not where you are; you can be on a mountain top or in the deepest valley. Or, in a crowd of people, or in the quiet of your home. God is found in the silence within the soul. Within this silence, where the soul may meet its God, there is also found the wisdom, love and power, and all who enter are immersed in light. One would not be so disturbed if he seeks a quiet place to pray and meditate. The silence is the kingdom of the soul which is not seen by the human eyes.
To find this silence of the soul, you, your self must prepare the way. None but the pure of heart may enter here. And you must lay aside all tension of mind, business, fears, doubt and troubled thoughts. You must be absorbed by with the divine. Then, you will come into a consciousness of holiness; you are then, within the Holy Place.
Whatsoever men shall do to other men, the righteous judge will do unto them. This is retribution.
Man has a spirit consciousness asleep in every soul, and all we need to do is to open the door ourselves. By the will of man, we open this door and then we can see a world of real things, a real life that can't pass away.
Strength never comes through idleness. Nor through another one to do your work. But it comes when you, your self, do your best in all that you do. The most efficient prayer that man can offer of any kind is helpfulness to those in need of help. For whatever you do for other men, the Holy One will do for you. Thus; God helps.
Fear is the chariot in which men ride to death. Death is a cruel word; one can never die. One is assigned to live in flesh and when your work is done, flesh is laid aside, and one goes on to another life, another task, until he attains perfect life.
Grief and selfish love hopes and fears are but reflexes from the lower self. Tears flow from the hearts of flesh; the spirit never weeps. We cannot conquer perfect bliss until we conquer the emotions of human feelings.
All things are thought. All life is thought activity. The multitude of beings are but phases of the One Great Thought.
Inharmony and evil are the same; so evil is the handiwork of man.
The soul is drawn to perfect light by Will, Faith, Helpfulness and Love.
Baptism is symbolic of the inner cleansing of the soul. Christ is not a man. Christ is Universal Love, and Love is God.
Purity in thought, word, and deed will cleanse the temple of the flesh. Evil men, as well as good, have all the power of mind to control the elements.
The greatest power on earth, and in heaven, is thought. God made the universe by thought; He paints the lily and the rose with thought. By the power of thought our physical bodies will change from flesh to a spirit form.
If you will keep your mind fully occupied with good, the evil cannot find a place to stay. Evil only comes to those with empty heads and empty hearts.
All men are sons of God, and if they live a holy life, they are always at home with God.
The fountain of good health is in the soul of every man, and faith is the key to open the door.
Prayer is the deep communion of the soul with God. When you pray, go to the closet of your soul and in holy silence, pray. You need not repeat words again and again or speak a multitude of words. A prayer as The Lord's Prayer is a perfect prayer.
God never passes by unnoticed any prayer; He walks within the silence and His Benedictions rest on every effort of the soul.
God makes the sun to rise upon all the children; evil, as well as the good, and sends the rain upon the just as well as the unjust.
The paying up of a debt. A man who wrongs another man can never be forgiven until he rights the wrong. Purify your hearts by love and righteousness and you shall be forgiven.
