part 4 - "The 'Pool' Of Absolute Energy"
In turning our attention to the upper realms of Creation, I shall attempt to elaborate, in two parts, upon the ability for Consciousness to become ambiguously polymorphic, yet with the freedom of mortally combined unanimity, is oftentimes worshiped as the singular deity commonly entitled, "God." Hopefully, you will see that the "Divine Plan" merges with its own destiny when we expose the whole conquest as a shared one. Reality is a collective of many souls with many expressions; a reconciliated energy flux of Divine Intentions motivated by the plurality of energy exchanges.
While the ideas and abilities of this Divine Plan become God’s experience in the life of every sentient being, this process of self discovery also requires assistance in the form of many entities who share the singular interest of manifesting such a perfected reality. The interest is shared for it originates as Infinite and Absolute Potential illuminating all manner of universal psychic structures and thereby granting these a vivified animation. This vivification is an inherently essential principle, for within the Absolute, all possible contradicting expressions must "exist" in its Infinite Nature. These in turn, through the mechanism of awareness, search for self similarity as they seek to find and share the idyllic cosmological and symbiotic relationship within Self Absolute once again at their proper level of hypostatization. Overall and basically then, this is the eternal pursuit of life entities -- to complete themselves within "that which hath originally cast them out" into the externalization of a manifesting reality. In this regard, life entities represent Creation by nature of their expulsion into it, yet they remain as its primary developers by nature of their interactions as well.
When we consider "the multiplicity of phenomena," with all things moving in directions of hither and yon under the umbrella of infinite potential, it would be improper to attribute such diversity and chaos as being animated through any "one aspect" nor "lone" entity, for such an entity could not be individually concerned with every operation of the universe. Indeed, if this were so, the lone entity would literally be alone in Absolute totality. Further, there would be no need for mortal senses, and therefor, no need for mortal existence. Obviously, such is not the case.
Rather, it should be viewed that the eventual organization of Reality hinges on the efforts of wide ranging and diverse entities, most of which, in hierarchical order, preside over the chain of events leading to its manifestation. These entities, known by many names - Seraphim, Archons, Chohans, as well as many others - can all be considered as "Lords" under their God, for it is with the Noble attributes of each one, that Creation is illuminated in all of its glorious diversity. These are the "collective" of Oversouls, then, that are the silent partners of downward causation, out of which, manifest reality is allowed to appear as upwardly engineered. From the intent, many dimensions of complication arose. Not unforeseen by the Absolute, but through its eventualities, the lesser gods of Creation. For reasons forthcoming, this was a predicament of necessity, to be worked out in the presence of chronological time. All the while, the impact of perfection is meant to be withstood in the permanency of Kairotic terms.
Bearing in mind that Myth embodies the nearest approach to absolute truth that can be stated in words (see preface), symbolic language must be substituted as method to represent the subjective events at the pinnacle of reality. This journey of manifestation arises from the influences of Intelligent Design - a terminological appointment within itself that currently suffers a two-pronged assault from lexicology and empirical proof alike. While your Creationists, in their abbreviated literalizations bring more harm than good to the soundness of their literal translations, the physical sciences have covered to the satisfaction of many, the upward causation of reality. If the two could mitigate a consensus amongst themselves, a more unified approximation would result in the comprehension of metaphysical trinities. Perhaps, a more dignified meeting of minds would occur as well. Be that as it may, the focus here shall be upon the, more or less, unseen downward causations as presented through the interpretation of myself, Lord Viskey.
Be advised that none who speak of such matters were presently distinct at the first glimmerings of Creation, save for the Godhead Itself in It's plurality of context. As consequence, all esoteric anthropic relationships and elucidative meanings find origin in the aftermath where universal psychic structures have influenced, and as such, can only hold bearing in mythopoetic connotations. Reality is actually neither one nor many, singular nor plural, transcendent nor immanent -- it is a non-dual experience "about which nothing can be said". For this reasoning, the following is a trespass of words where no words adequately apply. How we perceive reality, and later attempt to represent it, results from these archetypal vibrations which have sutured the discontinuity of an "expressing Self" to the "experiencing of It's not self". Whether speaking of Mind-only, as Christ-only, as Brahman-only, as Spirit-only, or as Tao-only, the Primal Unity of One Reality always remains, but every tradition in existence speaks of the "One" only as a concession to popular imagination. So, with this accommodation in mind to elaborate, we must return to the first Aeon of transformation. This was the event marked in obscurity, with which the emanation of Creative Force had lost all impartiality of the Absolute from whence it came.
In Hindu, Buddhist and Theosophical terminology, rooted in the language of Sanskrit, the first part of Reality is Adi-Ananta; the unit of Infinity where all Potential holds. It is Absolute for its homogeneity; Complete; Uninterrupted; Unified. Yet, it is Infinite for its heterogeneity; a totality of magnitude and amplitude; an entire complex of mass and energy. With this unity of Absolute and Infinite, the Adi is made Supreme and Primordial. It is non-transcendent for there is nothing to transcend. It exists in a state of random potential, where, as a coherent superposition, all possibilities exist.
But a coherent superposition which "holds" all random potential is not an inconvenient arrangement without probabilities. A self contained unit of Creative Force "sloshing" around without purpose or destiny creates nothing, yet infinite possibility, did in fact, lead to an eventual emanation, or what we know as our own reality. The basic driving force behind all of it will perhaps be better identified later by the intelligent thinkers of whatever modern times follow - where some form of Calibi-Yau manifold of Consciousness Itself generates the energy - but for now the basal ingredients of Gnostic thinking have adequate functionality for description. In Gnosticism, the first emanation of an Aeon began with "Thought" (or Intent), "Grace" and "Silence". In combination, these formulate the first Trinity engendering our infant reality. To place this triune arrangement in a sentence, we could say; "a Thought (or an Intent), with Grace, once remained fixed in Silence", and to do so, we will have just described the earliest "moment" of animation occurring after the initial stable state of Cosmic Energy unleashed Itself - despite the fact that we have also attributed a "shape" to three aspects of an unshapable arrangement.
But perhaps, the more overwhelming visage of this arrangement, is that manifestable probabilities can only occur upon multiple intersecting "mobius" planes within the One Absolute. It is at the multitudes of these intersections, that the many degrees of reality find a unique quality of expression. In terms of organization, the triune energy exists everywhere within its own overlapping volume, and the quantum "superstate" picks up its various dimensions of reference through the oscillations of infinitely small fibers straddling every convergence. As with all mobius planes, an inherent opposition forms in relativity to "the direction" of perception. One planar and self absorbed, topologically, there appears to be only an "ahead" and a "here" for the awareness to perceive. Yet, either of which when traversed, will lead back only to self once again. These are the only options available, for the self either remains at a point fixed upon the plane, or as a self aware being, becomes the "entire" plane itself. The reoccurring theme, here, is that at Infinity all opposites are combined. Upon the mobius plane, all directions lead to Absolute Infinity, of which, there is only One.
In the preliminary state of reference, Consciousness is subliminally represented. It is a uniform energy field extending "everywhere." It is Deus Absconditus. It is Ein-Sof. It is an Infinite and Unknowable; the Void, without blemish; without flaw, for the discontinuity of quantum collapse in Self Awareness has not yet initiated an event in reality. We can state that Consciousness is the volume in which objects can occur, and these executable objects, in turn, are defined as "Thoughts." Although Consciousness can be regarded as a most ethereal essence, within which, objects do appear, when they appear, they are merely finite "renderings" within the infinite field of their emergence.
As Thought becomes an object of reference (as in the Trinity), the undertone of some form of activity becomes apparent. Inevitably, upon the uniformity of Consciousness, bumps and blemishes will appear, and they do so as instances of internal disquiet, popping into and out of manifestation with similarity to the energies prevalent in physical reality's "zero point field". It is with these "fruits" of consciousness that the Absolute makes reference to its otherwise heterogeneous energy. In the "monadic" singular plane of its mobius aspect the only mortally imaginable way to describe this would be to say that with an outward "projection," a Thought (object) is made, and with inward "reflection", an undisturbed Conscious plane is recognized. So, while object and form are realized in the thought, a plenum of energy for its manifestation is found in its immanent consciousness.
In the next state of reference, the term Grace is represented. As the second basis for reality manifest, this energy field retains all inherent cohesion in nature. This is to say that the prevalent forces at work tend towards preventing the objects of reality from "scattering apart." Grace establishes a more "hydrophilic" than "hydrophobic" bias in the amniotic dimensions, making all things fundamentally conducive for retaining both structure and relationship. The "Graces," in modern religious vernacular include the terms, charm, attraction and pleasantness. All of these positive influences work to combine, in harmony, the distinguishing peculiarities in the multiplicity of phenomena. Using the analogy of looking in opposing directions, chaos would seem to be found at the infinite end of this monad. So, to look in one direction is to build with studious Grace, while looking in another, is to resolve a universe of more chaotic relationships. Further note must be made so as not to diminish its significance: it must be allowed that from chaos, variations and mixtures will yield new arrangements in nature. In the mobius similarity then, we find a tendency for Grace to be the refinement of Chaos. Chaos is inherently "outward" from center, while Grace is inherently "at center."
In deconstructing the third aspect, it can be said that at Origin, "that which is Absolute remained in a state of Silence; or in the passive sense of peace and quiet repose. But just as accurately, this infinite peace can also be interpreted as "Being" in a condition of complete inactivity. With references to a mobius plane, in complimentary opposition to Silence, the similitudes of motion and disquiet emerged. Silence, then, appears at the apex of Absolute Perfection while motion or communication are the elongations to nadir. While consciousness and thought, or grace and chaos can be referenced in their so-called "static" states, any motion, by necessity, becomes an "activity" in direct opposition to Silence. In other words, Reality must manifest with the dynamic of "non-silence" being communicated.
But what impetus is responsible for the Absolute to leave its perfect state of inactive silence? There had to be some form of implied "motion" that would eventually lead to Reality manifest. We should consider this transformation to have occurred through the implied nature of having incompleteness. I emphasize, "implied", for Reality is never incomplete, it is only perceived from a multitude of angles. In a return to the original tranquility, the unitive "unconscious" remained in a steady state of cosmic and impersonal nature until something "perturbed" it. I offer that this disturbance was self initiated.
Consider that, so far, in all of this field of Consciousness, there is Truth, and the Truth IS. There is Self, and the Self IS. Both are internal; one within the other. They are the ouroboros, and therein arises the need for the Self, through consciousness, to "capture" the Truth. From Alpha pours forth Omega. What was once stable and passive now becomes unsettled. Absolute Subjectivity suddenly has two features of significance and it becomes a duality where non-duality once existed. The collective unconscious once in coherent superposition now reciprocates with the Truth that IS. It takes two to speak this truth - one to speak and one to hear. Therein lies the reason for an expressor and an experiencer. Absolute Subjectivity is alluded to in this way; the revelation of Itself born of being "torn asunder".
Once Laodicean and latent, energy now moves. In its stirrings, it rearranges. The once "unreleased' potential becomes potential "expressed". In Sanskrit, this transformation is depicted as when Adi becomes Aupapadaka, a spontaneously, self born condition by reason of its own intrinsic energy. In one simultaneous moment, Consciousness throws forth objects of Thought, the Grace of an unmanifest reality catapults Itself towards sheer chaos for one remote day of reckoning, and Silent stability suddenly boils up into a flurry of Activity setting the universe into motion with attributes of both matter and mannerisms. Aupapadaka is the universe as it existed in its formless, eternal, and absolute condition - a condition, as we say, "was in precedence to its fashioning by the 'builders'". The whole arrangement unfolds in spacetime purely for the evolution of sentience to know the completeness of "Self" once again. Eventually, its overall steady state is to be rebuilt by making a permanency of harmony, balance and tranquility (once again) which are all the ingredients of a "self loving" entity - but, in this utterance, I have drawn ahead of myself.
To pursue this "spontaneous Self-producing thought", creative license allows my "trespass of words" to continue: It can be envisioned that this energy aligns and organizes within. This is a progress where the non-qualifiable transforms into a qualifiable Self-validation. The Adi is about to spawn a new "image" of Self Supreme. Yet, for posterity, must appear as something that recognizes a non-self, as if, apart from Self Supreme. The choice of words is consequential. Where the One, a Singular, undivided Unit comprising all that there is to distinguish, must in fact, distinguish apart from Self, the division occurs in this disambiguation of the term: "image". Image is a product of "I" + "mage". In effect, the "I" is the origin of ego - a forced rearrangement in Absolute, or the original perturbation, and "mage", which is rooted in Latin, "magis" - meaning; "more", or "to a greater extent". So, the term in its entirety is to say, "I AM MORE". ... But what was there to transcend?
Both figuratively and literally, from this "Self Cleavage", a new image of reality was wrought, yet the universe remained in its "somewhat" formless and absolute condition, albeit with an assortment of internal frictions on the rise. With more inflection on the "magis" and less upon the "I", the "greater extent" is made to carry more value than the "selfness" of ego; that is to say, "have more influence on the causation" of reality than the "Being behind it". In this manner of speaking, the greater extent is the purity of Divine energy, whereas the motivating ego is repressed for the benefit of the greater good - and only for the time being.
In the occult, energy is said to have both influence and radiance, two terms used interchangeably in Theosophy. Energy transfer occurs through radiation, and thus, the influences upon Creation are nothing less than energy operating from this highest state of unmanifest Reality. There are many literary works that speak of this energy, tracing it back to one "Great Cosmic Ray" of divine light that differentiates into multiple beams of occult spectral definition. In Gnosticism, the term for this manifest energy is Plêrôma, which translates as "the region of light" or the "Fullness". By whatever conceptualization one approaches it, the various aspects and attributes of Creation vibrate in accordance with these chromatic dispersions, and the conscious energy of the supreme God - or the "one beyond Being" - is said to reside at the head of this Cosmic Illumination. For my purposes, I merely want to portray the energy as "the pool" from whence Creation finds its resources to manifest all life entities of Reality.
In using the "Big Bang" theory of origin, a comparison can be drawn to the spectral variation in the emissions of the Great Cosmic Ray. The physical sciences describe a deterioration of one "super force" into an "electro-weak" force where "messenger particles" had to occur before photons could emerge. In the first three minutes of this process, it is said that Hydrogen, Helium and Lithium were created. In the physical theory, it took an estimated 380,000 years after that before light could be emitted from the opacity of Creation. While the theoretical workings of this event were described as involving only (arguably) pre-physical forces which had to incur non-reproducable changes in the contemporary configuration of this universe, these forces, by and large, were radical transformations of an "original" energy.
In the same spirit of radical transformation, the Great Cosmic Ray had to progress through various "deteriorations" of its own, albeit in various forms of "psychodynamic" energy. However, the usage of this term, "deteriorate" is a bit of a misnomer. As the source for reality manifest, all things originate in the splendor of Absolute Perfection. Deterioration in this sense is more a "rearrangement" of perfection into a workable conscious desire for Self Disclosure. On the course to emit the denser and denser substances of reality, the once undiluted cosmic energy of the Plêrôma began to take on various hues of temperament which began to tarnish the pristine state. But this was of no ill consequence, for without variations in light, of colors, or hues and tints, reality itself, would be nothing apart from vapidness and banality.
The "Thought with Grace that had once remained in Silence," had now begun its own irreversible transformation. As a dynamic influence upon itself, the Great Cosmic Ray began to actively "boil up" as an Intent of the Will to produce a self experiencing object. At the same instant, by gracefully denying chaos, it became illuminated with its own Wisdom to shine forth. In one sudden effort to be a Self of "Greater Extent", with Grace giving Itself to Wisdom, Silence giving itself to Activity, and the Thought that turned into an Intent of Will, the second trinity of reality manifest emerged.
At this moment, the pooling energies began to exist in a divine psychogenic state of polychromatic inflections. Metaphysically, Will, Wisdom and Activity can be understood as "aspects" for any life entity with quality or appearance because they are considered as the foundational energies to create or synthesize any basic intention. These aspects, then, with variation or gradation, effectively become the vital force for every life entity. It is through their combined influence that every form is imbued with the "inner evolutionary attribute" that must ultimately sweep it back into line with Divine Purpose.
In an attempt to break down these three aspects into their primordial "sub-Cosmic" energies, I'll begin with the vital aspect of Will, for this is distinguished as the first ray of the Great Cosmic force responsible for Creation. In Theosophy and metaphysical observations, the first ray is represented as being flaming red in color. This can emotively define Will as "Desire formulated so clearly and carried so powerfully to an intelligent climax that the mode of its materialization is grasped with such accuracy and energized with such intent that the result is inescapable". In mortal comparison, the Will is the energy of the soul expressing itself as direction, progress and conformity to the Plan. This is the most primitive influence behind the One Intent to orchestrate all the following groups of Creation. Willpower is the monadic essence qualified by "fixed determination", and it is the highest divine aspect. Yet, to take "Will" as an aspect alone - as a sole influence unhoned by Wisdom and Activity is to find its special virtues of strength or absolute fearlessness restricted and otherwise modified into the vices of arrogance and obstinance. In effect, Will is conciliated with the influences of Wisdom and Activity in order to be the founding energy, as it were, for every impact occurring in nature. Alone, the force of Will would surely be a destructive and disintegrating one.
In turning our attention towards the second aspect of the Trinity, it can be found that Wisdom is as much a "photolytic displacement" of Grace as it is metaphysically a "species" of Love Energy. In the greater cosmic sense, where Grace is "a manner of behavior having no preconceived allegiances through emotional interpretations", the Wisdom of Love can be seen as an affection, and uniquely the "subconscious desire" for a return to purity. The essence of Love-Wisdom is its being permeated with all of the natural cosmic tendencies of attraction. As the "second ray" of Tibetan mysticism, its illumination has been described as yellow rose. Cosmic Love-Wisdom can be associated with the first formulations of "the plan", upon which, "form" must then be constructed and the idea materialized. Characteristic with the laws of attraction, the desire for pure knowledge and absolute truth manifest through patience, endurance, clear intelligence and serene temperament. Yet, when laws of attraction become distorted, and the form of reality is taken from One's Self Image in a negative sense, then the potential for Narcissism also presents itself. At any rate, for Wisdom to remain as an isolated aspect apart from the Trinity, would seem to result in an over-absorption with the "contemplation" of Creation, rather than the actual orchestration of it. As something cold and indifferent, without the conciliating energy of Willful-Activity, the creation of reality would likely, have never gotten underway.
In the final aspect of this trinity, the essential nature of Activity is now considered. Activity is the Creative force of Absolute Mind swinging into full animation as it utilizes purpose and intent. In Tibetan language, the word that most represents this energy is "fohat," which is the constructive Force of Cosmic Electricity. In usage, fohat is a polarized electricity of both positive and negative influence which is born at any point of friction or union as a relation of its polar opposites upon the mobius plane of Consciousness. This force, perhaps more than the other two is responsible for the Plêrôma to manifest as the "primordial light". It becomes the propelling force, the verve and vigor which causes the One to become Two and Three. Activity is animated motivation; it is the force behind "progressive" movement - whether good or bad. This is the aspect which inflates reality as a volume of directions to go and choices to be made - all of which must be conciliated with Will and Wisdom. Anything to function in such a manner as the primordial beginnings of a manvantara would be the quintessential example of dynamism incarnate. As the third cosmic ray, it shines in colors of Indigo, Blue and Bronze. It is the "influence" of all heterogeneous and abstract thinking processes, that unless modified by the practical force of the rest of the Trinity, would hardly be troubled to keep account with any modicum of accuracy. Apart from this aspect, the imaginings of the Absolute may grasp the essence of truth, or hold strong to the idealism, but without an Active impulse, Creation could not occur for it would remain in the Silence of paralyses and incapacitated intent.
In turning our attention to the upper realms of Creation, I shall attempt to elaborate, in two parts, upon the ability for Consciousness to become ambiguously polymorphic, yet with the freedom of mortally combined unanimity, is oftentimes worshiped as the singular deity commonly entitled, "God." The collective unconscious once in coherent superposition now reciprocates with the Truth that IS.
